Our wedding was held at my in-law’s private lakefront residence, with the reception at the exact location in the courtyard. My family (bride) is from Louisville, KY, where my husband and I currently reside with our 2 sons. My husband and his family are from San Francisco, CA. We spent many summers vacationing at the beautiful Lake Tahoe and thought this was the perfect place for our destination wedding. Our ceremony was intimate, with 45 guests. With the most beautiful background, we celebrated with our closest friends and family. We had guests fly in from all over, including China! Our actual ceremony was intended for summer 2020, which unfortunately was twice postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. We lost out on deposit money and had to start from scratch to get vendors once we could safely proceed with our wedding plans. It was challenging to hire vendors and glam for the day, being all the way in Kentucky, but I was determined to fully execute our wedding plans, and it turned out just perfect. Everything worked out the way it was supposed to. I picked a dress out and was ready to purchase it when Covid-19 hit. In the end, this was a blessing in disguise. I had more time to look at and plan things out. I was browsing online and found the perfect dress! It was Much better than the one I was considering going with. We had a beautiful lakefront wedding and watched the sunset, and we cheered the night away! The photos turned out absolutely stunning, and we are so pleased to have these memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
