How to Create an Animated Pride Post Using Shutterstock Create
Share the message of Pride with an animated social post! This design can be shared as a social media post for your followers or sent over WhatsApp to friends and family.
We’ll walk through the steps of creating the selfie in Shutterstock Create. It’s super easy and quick to make, using just three steps.
We’ll be using online app Shutterstock Create to create the post design and, by the end, you’ll have a high-resolution GIF or video version of the design for sharing online. All you need is a photo of you and your friends, and your freebie bundle to hand.
Let’s get creative!

Step 1
Go to Shutterstock Create and choose Instagram Post from the blank canvas options.
Go to Graphics in the left-hand menu and click Add your own graphic > Computer. Choose a selfie or group shot that showcases how you are celebrating Pride! Drop the image onto the canvas. To make the colorful clip art really pop, we can adjust the background to an off-black color by clicking on Change color in the top toolbar.
You can now start dropping clip art onto your design. In this example, let’s build up the clip art around the edge of the image to create a border effect.
Go to Graphics > Add your own graphic > Computer.
Navigate to the folder of PNG images in your free download, and select one of the clip art graphics. Drop the illustration onto the canvas and get creative!
Place more illustrations onto the canvas to build up a colorful border design.
Step 2
It’s time to get animated!
Select one of the clip art illustrations on the design, such as the purple heart sticker. Click on Animate on the top toolbar, and let’s try applying a Pulse effect to mimic a beating heart.
For the Pride headline, I’ve opted for a Pop effect to really make it stand out.
For the character illustrations at the bottom left and right corners, I’ve chosen a Slide animation.
Step 3
When you’ve finished working on your Pride design, click on the red Download button at top-right. Choose an MP4 video format for sharing on social media, or a GIF format for email and WhatsApp.
Super simple! Now all you need to do is upload the design to your social media account. Great job!
