000 FZHW52 PHFO 282000 SRFHFO Surf Zone Forecast for Hawaii National Weather Service Honolulu HI 1000 AM HST Sun Feb 28 2021 .DISCUSSION...Strong high pressure slowly passing far north of the state will maintain large and rough seas for the next few days. Surf along east facing showers will remain well above the advisory threshold into Tuesday, then drop down to border line advisory levels from Wednesday into next weekend as winds and seas ease. A combination of a northwest swell and wrapping trade wind swell will produce moderate north shore surf today, followed by a decline Monday into Wednesday. Another northwest swell will arrive late Wednesday and cause north shore surf to peak near the advisory level Friday. This swell will decline and shift out of the north next weekend. Surf along south facing shores remains above winter average due to a combination of south-southwest swell and wrapping trade wind swell. The south swell will decline on Monday then fade by Tuesday.
