Full of color, iconic cityscapes, and a few fun surprises, today’s downtown Pittsburgh engagement session is all we could ever ask for in a pre-wedding photo shoot. Along with Kathryn Hyslop Photography, Becca and Marco started at the city’s brightest spot – The Highline. With a brightly hued wall and some funky street art as their backdrops, the couple perfectly embodied casual chic. From there, they opted for a change in wardrobe and scenery, next heading downtown for some must-have bridge photos. All of that posing made Becca and Marco work up an appetite and they stopped for a slice of pizza mid-shoot. Katie kept right on clicking her camera while the couple ate, resulting in some super fun and authentic photos that are among our favorites. The session ended with some gorgeous nighttime photos with the sparkling lights of the city in the distance. Vibrant, youthful, and unique, this feature is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Marco and I met on Tinder in the fall of 2016. Our small world moment was when he was telling me he had just started his second year of dental school. My sister had just started her second year of dental hygiene school also. We both realized I was at their white coat ceremony before I even knew him. I went into my pictures on my phone and I realized I had pictures of him from the ceremony before we even knew each other existed. Wild.

Marco, me, and his whole family decided to go to their cottage in Conneaut Lake for the weekend. We walked down to the beach to get family photos. I was down in front and had no idea Marco had the ring over my head smiling. When Marco got down on one knee and told me the words he did, I had never in my life looked into someone’s eyes with more sincerity, meaning, and heart.
