Corral Beach

Considered a California County public beach, it is a 1 mile stretch of beach between two areas on PCH, Pacific Coast Highway – Puerco Canyon Road to the north and Corral Canyon Road to the south. Corral Canyon Beach is also sometimes referred to as Dan Blocker Beach to the east and Solstice Canyon to the west end. Latigo beach is to the west and Old Malibu Road to the east.

This beach is very popular with tourists and locals because it is so easily accessible.  During the summer and holidays, you may not be able to get parking along side PCH unless you arrive early in the morning or late at night.  You’ll find divers, surfers, and freedivers here because the underwater life is magnificent.  Caution needs to be highly exercised like all beach dives due to strong surf and currents.  When in doubt, don’t.

Operating Hours:
For Beach Emergencies Dial 911

Open 365 days a year. Hours of operation for all beaches: sunrise to sunset
There are no public phones, nor concession stands, no showers, no changing areas, but thank goodness for the 2 port-a-potty’s and trash cans on PCH.
Closest restrooms can be found at the 76 Gas Station at Corral Canyon Road and PCH.

Corral Canyon Dive Areas

Corral Canyon, is one of the easiest Malibu beach dive spots in terms of access and shorter distance from your vehicle to the ocean. It also has a few stairs from the highway to the beach. Come here for a protected area that has shallow reefs full with lots of marine life and structure.  You will find more reef and structure as you head toward the direction of Point Dume.  This is not a SMR, State Marine Reserve, so fishing and hunting is allowed during the season. Don’t forget your current licenses – no exceptions!
