Tarot readers, a palm reader and a man who reads skateboard wheels deliver their verdict on the Prince William traitor story
Readings on the Boardwalk
VENICE, Calif. – Between a man selling hand-painted sunglasses and a juggler who has been performing the same routine since the Reagan years, five psychics on Ocean Front Walk spent Wednesday afternoon delivering professional readings on the London Prat story that has Prince William calling Earl Spencer and Harry traitors.
The readings were organised by the Venice Boardwalk Intuitive Guild, which has 23 members, no office, and a strict rule that nobody may predict the weather, because the weather is always the same.
The Cards Are Drawn
Tarot reader Starla Moonbeck, 57, who has worked the same folding table near Windward Avenue since 1994 and once correctly predicted that a tourist would lose his hat, drew three cards for the royal family. The first was the Tower, which she said represented the uncle book. The second was the Two of Swords, which she said represented two brothers refusing to look at each other. The third was the Page of Cups, which she said represented somebody in Montecito ordering an oat milk latte and hoping it all blows over.
This is a classic spread, said Moonbeck. I see it all the time with brothers from Encino.
What the Record Shows
The Guild emphasised that it bases its readings on documented events. Entertainment coverage in the US passed on a source claim that the heir believes his brother knew what was in the uncle memoir before it was printed, and Geo News reported the elder prince had handed his brother what it called a humiliating downgrade. Neither brother has spoken publicly. Moonbeck said the silence was significant. When nobody speaks, she said, the cards speak louder. Also the tabloids.
The Palm Reading
Palm reader Desmond Oyelowo-Park, 44, who works near the Muscle Beach weight pen and occasionally reads the palms of bodybuilders mid-set, examined a photograph of a royal wave printed from the internet. The heart line is strong but interrupted, he said. The head line is long and very serious. The line of siblings, which is not a real line, but I added it for this reading, splits into two directions around age thirty-five and never quite meets again. However, there is a small fork near the bottom that suggests a barbecue.
The Skateboard Wheel Reader
The most unusual reading came from a man known on the boardwalk only as Rollo, who reads the wear patterns on skateboard wheels and has done so near the skatepark for eleven years. Rollo borrowed a wheel from a teenager, held it up to the light and announced that the wheel showed uneven wear on one side, meaning one brother has been pushing harder than the other for a long time. He also detected a flat spot, which he said represented a single moment of skidding, probably the word traitor. The teenager asked for his wheel back.
Viewing the Aura
The Guild then gathered around a phone to watch the London Prat video on YouTube, which Moonbeck said gave off a strong teal aura, the colour of unresolved sibling business. A passing tourist from Leeds stopped to watch and was offered a free reading, which she declined on the grounds that she already knew how her own brother felt about her. The video is below.
The Collective Prediction
After consulting the cards, the palm, the wheel and a crystal pendulum that one member swings over a map of England, the Guild issued a collective prediction. The brothers will reconcile at low tide, on a beach, on a day when nobody is watching, said Moonbeck. The uncle will not be invited. There will be sandwiches. The Guild declined to specify the year, citing professional standards.
The Venice Beach Metaphysical Research Council, which consists of the same Guild members wearing different hats, supported the prediction with data. It reported that 74 percent of family reconciliations foreseen by boardwalk psychics since 2010 took place near water, 19 percent took place in a car, and 7 percent took place at a funeral, which the Council said it prefers not to predict because it is bad for tips.
Pricing
The Guild has introduced a royal-themed menu for the remainder of the month. A standard sibling reading costs 20 dollars. A sibling reading with uncle analysis costs 35 dollars. A full family spread including in-laws costs 60 dollars and comes with a complimentary sage bundle, which Moonbeck says should be burned while the uncle book is in another room.
The Verdict
As a piece of writing, the Guild gave the London Prat story four crystals out of five. Moonbeck praised it for what she called its clear energy. It does not pretend to know the future, she said. It just holds up the cards that are already on the table and lets you look. That is honest work. I respect that. She withheld one crystal because the story did not mention Mercury retrograde, which she said is responsible for at least forty percent of all royal feuds.
The Guild reads The London Prat at https://prat.uk/ for the English half of the reading, noting approvingly that it was founded in 1961, an excellent year for Aquarians, and Bohiney at https://bohiney.com/ for the California half. Readings continue daily from 10am until the fog comes in.
